I am a Counselling Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a background in Psychology. I have professional experience and training in psychological assessment and therapeutic approaches, with experience working across diverse settings, including hospitals, private organisations and schools. Through these experiences, I have worked with clients across different age groups and with a range of emotional, behavioural, interpersonal and psychological concerns. My approach is warm, collaborative and individualised with a focus on understanding each client’s unique needs and creating a safe, supportive space for them.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Honours) from Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi, followed by an MA in Counselling Psychology from Amity University, Noida. I have further specialised in Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which I integrate into my therapeutic practice. I continuously work towards expanding and diversifying my therapeutic knowledge through various courses, trainings, and skill-building opportunities, allowing me to develop a more holistic and flexible approach to counselling and psychological well-being.
I have experience working across child and adolescent mental health, community outreach, and psychological well-being. I previously worked with Astitav Centre for Empowerment as a Child and Adolescent Intern and with Umeed- A Drop of Hope as a Community Outreach Worker. I have also received clinical and therapeutic training at World Brain Centre Hospital and Art Adventures Studio, as well as from various other organisations working in the field of mental health. Currently, I am associated with Care Saathi and AnamKaaruh as a Consultant Psychologist and Peer Mentor, respectively, where I continue to work towards supporting individuals through counselling, therapeutic interventions and mental health-focused initiatives
My primary approaches include Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual so I draw from different approaches depending on what feels most helpful for the client. While CBT helps explore thoughts and behavioural patterns, MBCT brings awareness to the present moment and Expressive Arts Therapy can offer a creative way to explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
I believe therapy is not about telling someone how to fix their life. It is about creating a space where they can slow down, understand themselves and make sense of what they are going through. Sometimes we need words, and sometimes we need something beyond words. For me, therapy is a collaborative process of exploring, understanding, and finding ways forward without judgment or rushing.
