Hello, I am Rajvi Shirin, an NCAHP Registered Counselling Psychologist (Australian University Qualified Psychologist) with international training and many years of professional experience across occupational rehabilitation, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and private psychological practice. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced from Monash University, and a Master of Professional Psychology from the Institute of Social Neuroscience. My professional experience has involved supporting individuals experiencing emotional, occupational, and transitional challenges through structured, evidence-based, and client-centred psychological interventions. I have worked extensively with individuals facing anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, workplace concerns, interpersonal difficulties, and significant life transitions. I strongly value culturally sensitive and inclusive psychological care. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered while developing practical skills that support emotional well-being, resilience, and long-term personal growth.
I believe therapy is not solely about reducing distress; it is about building insight, strengthening resilience, and developing healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand our emotions, behaviours, and experiences while creating practical strategies that support lasting change. I view the therapeutic process as collaborative, growth-oriented, and empowering. Through therapy, individuals can cultivate greater emotional awareness, psychological flexibility, and confidence in their ability to navigate personal and professional challenges.
My journey into psychology has been shaped by an interest in how people adapt to change, particularly when personal well-being intersects with work, relationships, and everyday responsibilities. Working across different psychological settings has shown me that even small shifts in perspective can influence how we cope, communicate, and move forward. This continues to motivate me to help individuals better understand themselves and create meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives.
