Hello, I am Himanshi Soni, a Counselling Psychologist with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, and UGC NET (PhD) qualification. I am also a Qualified Wellness Teacher (DAV-CBT). With years of experience, I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating emotional, academic, personal, and professional challenges. My journey in psychology is driven by a deep commitment to understanding human emotions and supporting individuals through different challenges in life. I believe every individual has the potential for growth, resilience, and recovery when they receive genuine support within a safe and nurturing environment. I strive to create a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences. Together, we work collaboratively to understand challenges, strengthen healthy coping mechanisms, and develop practical strategies aligned with each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals. Beyond individual counselling, I actively contribute to mental health awareness initiatives, psychoeducational programs, workshops, and community outreach efforts focused on promoting emotional well-being and challenging the stigma surrounding mental health.
I believe therapy is a collaborative and supportive space where individuals can better understand themselves, explore their emotions, and develop the skills needed to navigate life's challenges. Therapy is not about changing who a person is. It is about helping individuals recognize their strengths, understand their experiences, and develop healthier and more effective ways of coping. My therapy style is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centred. I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to openly explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences without fear of judgment. By integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches with empathy, flexibility, and individualized care, I help clients build resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
What continues to draw me to psychology is the individuality behind every person's experiences. Two people may face similar circumstances yet experience and respond to them very differently. Understanding these differences has shaped my interest in counselling and strengthened my belief in looking beyond the immediate concern to understand the person as a whole. For me, psychology is a continuous journey of learning, understanding, and helping individuals recognise their own capacity to navigate change.
