Hello, I’m Diana John, an M.Sc. Psychology graduate specialising in Clinical Psychology, working with children, adolescents and adults. My work focuses on understanding the person beyond the concern they bring into the room. My experience spans hospital, clinical, developmental, and school settings. I have experience working with neurodevelopmental and developmental concerns, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural concerns, and child and family support. I began as a Psychology Intern at Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, followed by experience as a Behavioural Therapist at a Child Development Centre. I have also worked as a Freelance Trainee Therapist and currently work as a Counselling Psychologist with school students, supporting children and adolescents through individual counselling, group sessions and life-skills interventions. I’ve always loved stories and even more, the people behind them. What drew me to psychology was my love for listening to people and understanding their perspectives. I see every person as the main character of their own story, with experiences that have shaped who they are today.
I believe therapy is less about being given answers and more about having a space where you can slow down, feel heard, understand yourself and explore your story from a different perspective. You are the expert on your own story. I’m here to listen, be curious with you, and walk alongside you as you make sense of where you’ve been and where you want to go next.
My interest in psychology comes from my love for stories and my curiosity about the people behind them. I have always valued listening to people, understanding their perspectives and exploring the experiences that have shaped their lives. I see every person as the main character of their own story. This perspective influences the way I approach psychology: by looking beyond the concern someone brings into the room and seeking to understand their individual experiences. Through my experience across hospital, clinical, developmental and school settings, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults facing different developmental, behavioural, emotional and personal concerns. My approach reflects my belief that people deserve a space where they can feel heard, understood and supported as they explore their experiences from a different perspective.
