About Ms. Bhavya Singh

About Ms. Bhavya Singh

Hello, I am Bhavya, an Counsellor Psychologist (PGDRP) with a Master's degree in Psychology and 5 years of professional experience. My professional journey has taken me through hospitals, rehabilitation centres, schools, and educational institutions, where I have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families facing emotional, behavioural, academic, and psychological challenges. A significant part of my work focuses on students preparing for highly competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET. I understand the emotional pressure that accompanies academic expectations and helps students navigate examination anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, fear of failure, concentration difficulties, memory concerns, emotional distress, and declining motivation. Alongside student counselling, I also work closely with parents to strengthen communication, reduce family conflict, and create emotionally supportive environments that promote both mental well-being and academic success. My clinical experience also includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), addiction, adjustment difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, self-esteem concerns, anger issues, and interpersonal challenges. I believe every individual possesses the ability to grow and heal when provided with empathy, evidence-based interventions, and a safe therapeutic relationship tailored to their unique needs.

My Thoughts on Therapy

I believe therapy is not about changing who you are, it is about helping you better understand yourself and discover the strengths that already exist within you. Every person has a unique story, and every healing journey deserves compassion, patience, and individualized care. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we work on building practical coping strategies, emotional resilience, self-awareness, and confidence that extend far beyond the therapy room.

Why I Became a Psychologist

My journey into psychology began with my own experiences of emotional struggles, uncertainty, and self-doubt. Those experiences taught me that healing is possible and that some of our greatest challenges can become the foundation of our greatest purpose. As I learned to understand myself and grow through difficult moments, I realized how powerful it is to have someone who genuinely listens without judgment. That realization inspired me to become a psychologist—not because I have all the answers, but because I understand the importance of feeling heard, supported, and understood during life's most difficult moments. Today, my own journey allows me to connect with clients with authenticity and empathy. I never believe in a one-size-fits-all approach because every individual carries a different story, different strengths, and different emotional needs. My role is to walk alongside my clients, helping them uncover their own resilience and create meaningful, lasting change at their own pace.
