Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a powerful approach in the realm of mental health counselling . Participants will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience as well as learn about a process-based framework for delivering ACT under the mentorship of our team of RCI licensed psychologists. Throughout the course, interns will receive tailored guidance and practical training to refine their ACT skills and deepen their understanding of its application in mental health treatment.


Intro to ACT : A research-based intervention that increases psychological flexibility with a mindfulness approach and behavior change strategies.
Overview of the ACT models : ACT models create a workable and positive set of inner flexibility.
CORE PROCESSES AND CONCEPTS IN ACT : Six core processes of ACT guide patients through therapy and provide a framework for developing psychological flexibility.
What is Mindfulness : A critical part of the ACT model. Which is learned by experience rather than simply talking about it.
The MAC : combines acceptance and mindfulness practices with the goal of improving psychological health.
Developing a Mindfulness Practice : A development focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment
